Our Therapeutic Framework
We provide residential support that promotes the psychological, emotional and behavioural wellbeing of children and young people. Our therapeutic approach is underpinned by a stable, predictable and emotionally attuned environment, alongside skilled, relationship centred care.

In-house therapeutic input
Panacea has a named therapist attached to the home who provides therapeutic sessions and consultation to support both young people and the staff team. This helps embed therapeutic thinking into everyday care, routines, interactions and care planning.

Additional specialist therapy
Where a child requires specialist interventions beyond the home’s core therapeutic input, we arrange therapy in partnership with external providers, typically commissioned by the Placing Authority. This may include clinical, psychological or specialist interventions tailored to individual need

Multi-agency working
We work closely with:
-
the Local Authority (LA)
-
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
-
therapists and clinical services
-
education and other relevant professionals

This ensures a consistent, joined-up framework of care. Therapy is tailored to individual need and may reflect approaches used within adolescent therapeutic communities and outpatient CAMHS services.

Therapeutic Care
Panacea STPA Model
Our home uses an Integrative Psychosocial Model called the Stability to Progress Approach (STPA). STPA places the environment, relationships and daily living experiences at the centre of therapeutic change. We recognise that a stable, predictable and emotionally attuned environment is the primary tool for healing and development.
