We are delighted to announce that Panacea Children’s Home is now a member of The Consortium for Therapeutic Communities (TCTC).
TCTC is the national body dedicated to promoting therapeutic approaches across residential and community settings. By joining, we are affirming our belief that children and young people thrive best in environments where relationships, reflection, and community are at the centre of care.

Why this matters
Panacea was founded with a clear mission: to provide a safe, nurturing two-bed home for young people aged 11–17 with emotional and behavioural needs. We know that true healing happens not just through structured therapy sessions, but through the everyday interactions—mealtimes, routines, conversations after school—that give young people a sense of safety and belonging.
Being part of TCTC connects us to a national network of homes, practitioners, and researchers who share that vision. Through regular forums, reflective practice groups, and shared standards, we will be able to:
Strengthen our trauma-informed practice
Support staff with reflective training and support that prevent burnout and keep focus on the child’s voice
Benchmark our model against the highest standards of therapeutic care
Learn from other services and contribute our own experience
What this means for our young people
Ultimately, this membership is about improving outcomes. With TCTC’s support, we will sharpen how we measure progress—tracking both therapeutic outcomes (such as emotional resilience) and daily care indicators (like school attendance and fewer incidents). It ensures that the progress made in therapeutic sessions are carried into daily life and sustained in the long term.
Looking ahead
As we move towards registration and beyond, we are excited to build on this partnership with TCTC. Together, we will keep improving how we support children to heal, grow, and thrive.
Panacea Children’s Home – building safe, nurturing communities where young people can flourish.
